Zoooooom!

Wow! Its a busy time around here, and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with it all. I'm praising God that he has provided a part-time job for me for a few months...and that despite asking just a week in advance, my guest speaker is able to be there. I start on the 7th! Also, Alex has his 1st birthday on Saturday. How good God has been to bring the little guy into our family. So much more to say....but I'm off again!

"I'm ready for winter"

A trip to Greality

Today, to celebrate our anniversary, Roger and I headed up to Greality for a trip down memory lane. We saw friends from our old church. We ate at our favorite old spot--Fat Albert's. We drove around UNC campus.

Ellie--I kind of envy you...cause I still LOVE UNC campus! It is still beautiful and just right. I loved my time in Greality.

um...yuck

Yeah, so there was a shooting at a store near my home. And the suspect is still on the loose. So, I guess Rog won't take the dirty diapers out to the dumpster tonight. We have to have ammo...and a dirty diaper in the face is a good way to keep scary people...or any people away.

And what was said to the rose to make it unfold
Was said to me here in my chest,
So be quiet now and rest.

David Crowder Band

I totally love that lyric!

I wonder if I have posted it before? I know I wanted to...hmmmm. I guess I'm not gonna go look now. Nope...its too late...I'm posting

The Bridge to Toontown

Katrina's first coaster---her first ride at Disneyland. Gadget's Go-Coaster! She said she liked it, but it got overshadowed by those crazy Tea Cups and the "Mickey show" Fantasmic.

Laguna

For my extended family, Laguna is the beach of choice ... and it has been for as long as I can remember. Now it has been my kids' first beach experience. I even got my toes in.

Abandoned

I knew God wanted me in the A Heart Like His summer Bible study at church for a reason, and I was anxious trying to figure out why. As I have been reading this week about how David felt abandoned and often had to trust God when he felt like no one was sticking by him...so I feel today concerning some friends. Right now my heart is heavy; I'm angry and hurt; God is sufficient, so I better run to HIM instead of writing more in this blog.

A Long Expected Party

Here's my California family with my youngest cousin as the blushing bride. Aren't they beautiful? I only regret we didn't get to spend more time with them...especially the newlyweds who of course had lots to do getting the wedding together. Their reception was done in the church where my uncle is pastor...they took out all the pews and set up tables and chairs. It was so much fun to be there!

Interesting Article

In my trying to catch up on life, I found this article about Yoga. I've wondered about Christians practicing yoga for quite a while.

There and Back Again

A Mommy's tale
By Mellifluous

Concerning Vacations
Vacations are said to be for relaxation, but there is rarely relaxation for a Mommy. There is always lots of fun and tons of work. And you're glad you went, but you're still exhausted.

Hooray!

Today I got to celebrate the life of AnJolie! I got to walk with hundreds of people to celebrate life! I was blessed to see more people from my church than last year...which wasn't hard since last year there were only 2 of us. The weather was beautiful! God is good!
