movies

I really enjoy the sci-fi and fantasy....books or movies. I don't know when I developed my love for them, but its only gotten stronger over the years.

Thanks to my favorite Soprano for lending us Stardust. We watched it on our anniversary, and I really enjoyed it. It was fun, romantic, interesting...maybe not groundbreaking...but I had a good time with it. Roger is funny...he needs to know more about a movie before he really wants to see it. In the end, he enjoyed it too.

Now I'm in the mood for more. Besides Lord of the Rings and Star Wars (which we own), which Sci-Fi or Fantasy movies do you enjoy? I need ideas for future reading/watching!

I haven't seen a lot of them lately...and looking through IMDB, there are a lot I missed through the years. I haven't seen Willow. I didn't see Spiderwick Chronicles. Not sure if anyone knows if its good. I thought you'd mention Harry Potter, Sarah.

Well, the movies are okay, but the books are better, so I would recommend those over the film adaptations. The movie I thought of that I thought you might enjoy is Penelope. It's a tongue-in-cheek fairytale and it's just adorable. I don't know when it comes out on DVD though, it was in theaters this past spring.

We watched Spiderwick Sunday night - it's pretty good once you get through the scary stuff at the beginning. Not for little ones, though.
