Men, please feel free to ignore this post.

It is an American custom for us ladies to shave our legs. Some women complain about this, but I don't struggle with it. I like smooth legs, but I don't obsess over it. If I had never shaved my legs I may contemplate not starting, but I wouldn't stop at this point. I've shaved with soap, body wash, and shave gel. I've tried several types of razors. I struggled for a long time because I liked the look of the Venus razor, but I hate the whole goddess idea. YUCK! I avoided it for at least a year, and finally gave in and bought one. I liked it fine, but whatever...everytime I see advertising for it I want to vomit! Then I got the Intuition. I like the time saving factor of not needing shave gel, but it seems expensive to keep it up. So, I'm asking you ladies, what razor do you like? What works for you? I'd love a Consumer Report on razors, so help me out, what's a best buy?

My mom bought me a Schick Personal razor when I started shaving. I just have to replace the blade now and then, which is no big deal. I still have to use a shaving gel, but this razor doesn't give me razor burn like the disposable ones I take to the gym with me. No complaints! Well, except that I can't keep the shaving gel in the shower because the bottom of the can rusts all over the tub. But that's only because I haven't yet taken the time to glue some plastic to the bottom of it.

I use the intuition razor because I hate shaving cream. Also, now that I'm living in a dorm with community showers, it's much easier and less disgusting to use it instead of a regular razor with shaving cream.

I use my hubby's mach 3 men's razor. The blades are more bendy than any women's razor I have found and they also seem to stay sharp longer. Also, I don't have to use shave gel with this razor for whatever reason. I have really sensitive skin so this is rather odd. Anyhow, I highly recommend this one. (PS - Chris doesn't know I use it . . . shhhh)

I recently bought a gillette fusion (men's) razor. I read in good housekeeping that it was rated #1 in a test they did. I like it--I use shaving cream most of the time (probably out of habit) but used soap yesterday with no problem. Kurt's jealous that my razor is nicer than his.

Definitely whatever shaver dave uses (the mach 3 i believe) ... with soap while i'm washing. Simple, simple, simple, fast, fast, fast (and he always changes the blade before i would so it's always sharp and therefore no shaving bumps :~) hurrah! if only he was ahead of my curve on all my beauty needs!

I use venus, but then again, I hardly shave so it doesn't matter too much what I use...

I use hubby's Mach 3 and love it! I'm a redhead with terribly sensitive skin and this is the one that works best for me. Also, I was out of shave cream and used cheap hair conditioner instead the other day and it worked great. Think I might quit spending all my money on that expensive shave cream.....
